Estate and Capacity Litigator 

Goddard Gamage LLP has an opening for an Estate and Capacity Litigator to join our team in Toronto. The successful candidate will have 6+ years’ experience in estate, power of attorney, and guardianship litigation. Experience in will, trust and power of attorney drafting is an asset, but not required.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a talented lawyer to join a successful boutique law firm known for its leadership and expertise in estates, capacity and elder law practice areas.

The work will involve a wide range of estate and capacity matters, including power of attorney litigation, contested guardianship applications, elder abuse litigation, will challenges, dependent support claims, contentious passings of accounts, trust disputes, removal and accounting of executors, and more.

The successful candidate will be a member of the Ontario Bar in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario, will have at least 6 years’ experience with an emphasis on estate and capacity litigation matters, and will have strong skills in collaboration and mentorship. They will be able to handle files both independently and as part of a team.

The ideal candidate is career oriented and will have a portable book of business or the ability to generate work.
