Kostas Renieris

Associate

Hailing from a farm in southern Ontario, Kostas Renieris knew farm life was not for him. However, he always sought out activities, projects and hobbies that demanded the same underlying qualities of hard work, problem solving, patience and collaboration. Goddard Gamage’s practice areas immediately seemed like a natural extension of this interest and Kostas employs these qualities in his everyday work as an associate lawyer at the firm.

During law school, Kostas was heavily involved with Osgoode Hall’s chapter of Pro Bono Students Canada (PBSC), Canada’s largest pro bono organization. In addition to serving as a project lead, Kostas volunteered with JusticeNet and the GTA Wills Project. During his involvement with the Wills Project, he was mentored by a Goddard Gamage lawyer. The experience helped spark his interest in the dynamic field of wills, estates, and guardianship law. This interest only grew as a summer student and subsequently as an articling student at Goddard Gamage.

As an associate lawyer at Goddard Gamage, Kostas works in all areas of the firm’s estate, capacity and elder law practice areas, doing both litigation and solicitor’s work. He is also a keen mentor to the firm’s members who are junior to him, and initiated a project to develop a Goddard Gamage “Field Guide” for students and junior lawyers, utilizing his farming roots to help bolster the firm’s growth.

Outside the legal realm, Kostas likes to travel and stay active. He gets outdoors as often as he can, and enjoys reading history and listening to 80s music.
