From the start of his legal journey, Geenath has been guided by a deep belief that the law should be a tool for empowerment, not a barrier.
During law school, he worked with the Human Rights Legal Support Centre and Fair Change Community Services, where he advocated for individuals facing homelessness, discrimination, and systemic injustice. These formative experiences affirmed his strength in meeting people where they are and helping them navigate legal systems that can often feel inaccessible.
That commitment to advocacy and practical problem-solving led Geenath to Goddard Gamage LLP, where he summered and articled before joining the firm as an associate. His practice spans both litigation and solicitor’s work across all areas of estates, capacity, and elder law. He brings a thoughtful, research-informed approach to his files, shaped by his academic background in political science and sociology and grounded in genuine care for his clients.
As the first in his family to attend university and become a lawyer, Geenath is passionate about advancing access to justice and understands the importance of feeling seen and supported throughout the legal process. Whether assisting older adults, persons with disabilities, or families navigating major life changes, he approaches his work with integrity, empathy, and clarity.
Outside the office, Geenath enjoys exploring nature trails with his golden retriever Lucky, passionately cheering on Toronto’s sports teams regardless of the emotional rollercoaster, and searching for the city’s best slice of pizza in what he considers an ongoing personal research project.
