Aaron Chan to Speak at the Osgoode Certification in Consent, Capacity and Substitute Decision Making on May 26th, 2026
We are pleased to announce that Aaron Chan, associate at Goddard Gamage LLP, will be speaking at the Osgoode PD’s multi-module Certificate program, which will run between May 19th and June 16th, 2026.
This program explores who assesses capacity, when evaluations or capacity assessments are required, and the legal standards under Ontario law. Topics include treatment, admission to long-term care, personal assistance services, personal care (SDA), statutory guardianship, and granting POAs. The role of the Mental Health Act and duties of professionals will also be addressed.
