Early on, Lauren knew that she wanted a career that would have a positive impact on people’s lives, ultimately leading her to a solicitor’s side practice in the world of wills and estates.
Lauren began this journey as a law student, focusing on family law and earning the Queen’s Law Prize in her Family and Children’s Law Placement course for her work with a lawyer in the Kingston community. After law school, Lauren returned to the Niagara Region to begin her legal career, and as an articling student, Lauren’s broad civil litigation practice introduced her to the practice of wills and estates law. From there, Lauren practiced almost exclusively in the area of estate litigation for several years, before joining the team at Goddard Gamage.
As an associate lawyer at Goddard Gamage, Lauren has a focused estate planning and estate administration practice, assisting clients with arranging their affairs and helping loved ones navigate the challenging legal landscape following a person’s passing. She also uses her estate litigation experience to advise attorneys for property and personal care, executors, and trustees on their roles and obligations. With her background in accounting and love of numbers, Lauren also enjoys assisting clients when called to account for their management of other people’s or estate property.
Aside from practicing law, Lauren can be found enjoying time with her dog Willow, exploring the city’s vibrant restaurant scene, or on a plane to her next adventure.
